Duthie orthodontics called me back when they had availability and took me when no one else in a 40 mile radius would. Dr. Duthie had a lovely bedside manner and was prompt in tending to me. The work was phenomenal and this was the best orthodontic experience I've ever had. I almost wish I had lived here while I did invisalign so that Dr. Duthie could've been my ortho!"

"Our experience with Dr. Duthie has been fantastic. Dr. Duthie is not only a knowledgeable, skilled, expert orthodontist, but he is also a kind, welcoming doctor who is able to relate to his teenage (and younger and older) patients. My son actually liked going to all the appointments just to get to talk with Dr. Duthie. My son's teeth aligned exactly as explained by Dr. Duthie before he applied the braces. We are beyond happy with the result. We also are so thankful for Dr. Duthie's amazing office. The entire team there is so supportive, welcoming, attentive and friendly. We always got an immediate call back when we called with a "broken bracket" emergency and Carrie always found a way to fit us in. The entire team at Duthie Orthodontics is professional, friendly, caring and welcoming. The entire experience was just excellent, Dr. Duthie and his team always exceeding our expectations. "I had to get my top retainer remade. I never went to Duthie and never heard about them. They were able to get me an appointment within the week. They were super nice and extremely friendly. The doctor was very personal and extremely generous. He ended up making me a top and bottom retainer on the house, I was in shock because no one has ever done that for me. Thank you again! Overall, the office is extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing. I would recommend to anyone and everyone."

"Dr Duthie is exceptional. The only negative thing I will say is that we moved out of state and are not able to take our son to him for orthodontic work- it will be very hard to find a replacement that comes close to what I consider to be a perfect combination of competence and professionalism, and connecting to the patient at hand! He is not pushy at all but gives his honest opinion and assessment of the situation. He will see you every six months for no charge until when/if you make a commitment for treatment. Hands down 5 stars."

"I had permanent retainers put in when I got my braces off back in 2003 from another ortho when I lived in Jersey. About 1.5 years ago I went to Dr. Duthie because both were starting to come loose. I had such great customer service from the staff & Dr. Duthie, & he was extremely generous. He did a temporary fix for me. Today I went back to him because my upper retainer broke & he removed it & made me a new retainer. Again, he was extremely generous. I will definitely go back to him when my bottom retainer goes. I will also refer him to everyone I know. I cannot believe anyone would give him or his practice a negative review. I had a wonderful experience & he is a man of great generosity & kindness. He is not out to make a buck & is more than willing to work with his clients, especially those who do not have insurance & cannot afford the costs of services. I highly recommend Dr. Duthie to anyone. I also have a friend who’s daughter went to him, & again she says the same about him."

"Today I had a patient with a TMJ problem with her jaw "locked" slightly open. I was unable to manipulate the jaw back into position (in some cases gentle manipulation down, back and upward can be successful). The treatment for such a problem is anti-inflammatory medication like advil or aleve, hot compresses, and sometimes muscle relaxants. Needless to say, liquid diet. But I did not have the experience to know how long it would take for the situation to resolve. I suggested they call Dr Duthie. He was so kind and helpful. He had a video that explained what had happened in the joint and reassured the patient that it would just take some time. Also added that cold compresses help too. I knew the patient needed reassurance from the right specialist, and Dr Duthie was Perfect! Thank you Dr. Duthie for seeing this patient right away and with your knowledge and caring, being able to truly be a healer!"

"I am new to Ithaca and was looking for an Orthodontist to help me replace a lower invisalign retainer, as my dog decided to eat mine (what an embassinging reason especially being a teacher). I highly recommend Dr. Duthie and his staff. I found Dr. Duthie from a google search; radiating positive reviews popped up.From my first call to set up an appointment, to my first visit, service was outstanding. The receptionist made my appointment and explained I can save myself time by filling out my patient history prior to my visit online, I took advantage of this and it was painless and easy. The receptionists directions were excellent the building was easy to find and absolutely stunning (feels like a spa). The entire staff provides service with a smile. Beverages and magazines await your arrival in the most comfortable waiting room. Michelle helped me and was delightful. Dr. Duthie was warm, caring professional and extremely knowledgable. I felt valued as he gave me his time freely with a smile. I did not feel rushed as sometimes Doctors can make us feel. His warmth as a person comes through.
